Lynn Hammel Founding Director and Facilitator.
Lynn has over 17 years worth of experience working with babies and children covering a vast amount of settings including hospital, in homes, community, and nursery settings. Lynn is qualified in Early Years and has a passion to help children reach their potential through play in the early years of life. Lynn has led playgroups, ran activities for disabled children as well as running a children’s party business. Lynn has four children of her own.
Mark Randall Director.
Mark works behind the scenes at Clart About Ltd and assists with the smooth running of each and everyone of our sessions. Mark has four children and keeps our founding director Lynn functioning by assisting with the day to day running of the organisation.
Claire Copestake Facilitator.
Claire has over 18 years of experience working with children in a range of ages. Claire has taught English in secondary school for 7 years and has a passion for books and sharing her love of reading. Claire also has 18 years of voluntary experience with children, working as a children’s leader in her local church, volunteering at her local school for 5 years and chair of a local playgroup for 3 years. Claire has two children of her own
Vicky Bailey Mid Durham Messy Play Franchisee.
Vicky holds BA (hons) in primary education specialising in early childhood education and development. She has experience working in playgroups, schools and for the past 4 years has worked in a private nursery. She is passionate about creating opportunities where children can learn through play and for their parents to be able to take part. Vicky has 2 children of her own and loves nothing more than trying out new messy ideas with them!
Alicia Checksfield Director & Consett and Stanley Messy Play Franchisee.
Alicia has joined the Clart about team after enjoying classes with her second daughter and seeing first hand the benefits that messy play has for mum, baby and dad. Alicia has a background in care having worked as a care home supervisor and holds an NVQ level 2 and 3 in health and social care.
Nichola Best Mid Durham Sensory Clarters Franchisee.
Nichola has over 10 years experience working within early years settings, starting as a nursery practitioner and working her way up to become a senior practitioner. Her expertise lies with children aged 0-2 years and sensory development is one of her passions. Nichola really enjoys creating treasure baskets and other resources for babies and young children to explore. She is currently working towards my Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies and Professional Practice and all being well graduates in July. Nichola is also a Mam and has joined Clart About to help provide the groups that weren’t around when she needed them for her little boy.
